I was in for an oil change and was told I needed two tires. Spence did not have them in stock but offered to order them for me. They ordered them the same day and they arrived in two days. I set up an appointment to have them installed and they did a flawless job the day of the installation. I think the entire service team at Spence GMC is the friendliest and most caring I have seen in my 69 years.

My vehicle was at the shop for three months for body work. I was excited to get my vehicle back after three months, until I saw the craftsmanship and quality. After being told it was correct the second time, it's still not done correctly. I was in disgust and personally upset. So now I'm having it fixed correctly at another shop at my own expense. I would not recommend that any vehicle be fixed at this location. I expected a better job coming from a dealer. I learned a very valuable lesson about people and dealerships. Although I have always been a GM person, this whole experience has turned me against the GM products.

I had called to set up an appointment head. Wait for the parts for about 3 days. They set me an appointment up for Thursday morning. I had the car towed there Wednesday night. Somehow the keys got misplaced to the workorder. And it took another week and a 1/2 to get my car fixed. I understand they were backed up and busy but I did have an appointment which got missed because they couldn't find the keys

Truck has had an oil leak since it was new, over two years. I have taken it back and had it looked at, at least 6 times and after every attempt to fix it the truck still leaks oil. This last time the dealership had it for 5 weeks and still leaks. Nothing has been fixed, so now I will take it to another dealership to see how they do.

Bought a used 19 suburban, drove it for about one week before my tire pressure light came on. The back left tire was not being read on the monitor. Looked into my Chevrolet app, it was saying my ABS system needed serviced. Got into contact with my salesperson, I told Him I was unable to bring it in immediately, as I work a full time job, and live 45 minutes away and have children to care for. He told me they would take a look at it, being as I hadn’t even driven 1000 miles yet. Upon the vehicle being brought to the dealership, I was informed that 3 of my tire pressure sensors were out, not just one.. and my abs system was not even looked at because we needed a “ more senior tech” to check into it. Rachel was kind enough to drop the cost of looking at it, in half. But I personally don’t think it should have been a charge at all, seeing as it was just purchased. Upon entering my vehicle; NONE of my tire pressure sensors are working. My tire pressure light is still on; and my ABS system still needs to be looked at.

I was in your dealership on 05/26/25 for an oil change. I want to begin by stating that I had no problem with your staff. But I am upset. I had a coupon for a 6-quart oil change for $69.52 (expiration date is 06/16/25). When they were done with my car, the service advisor, Rachel Embert) working with me said that they could not accept the coupon because my car only held 5 quarts of oil. She did, however, offer to have me speak with a manager, but unfortunately I was not able to take the time to do so. I had to pay $96.63. I had to pay more because my car did not hold 6 quarts. That makes absolutely no sense to me. I bring my car to your dealership because I like the people and service. I have purchased 2 cars from you. So needless to say, I was very disappointed. Spence GMC sales, service departments and GM, I purchased a 2025 from Spence GMC in January 2025. I returned numerous times for body work at the Spence service department. . At around 1700 miles the transmission had to be repaired, so I had to take it to Prince Chevy multiple times, since they are the closest to my home and I didn’t think it would make it to Thomasville. At around 7000 miles I had to take it back to Prince 2 more times due to transmission issues . They had to replace the transmission this time, which took 2-3 weeks to complete. Due to the body repair and transmission repair/replacement we have been without use of the vehicle around 30 or more days all together. We recently got our blazer back from Prince Chevy, but I wanted to make Spence GM aware of my intent to return the blazer for a full refund if the transmission breaks again. I believe the vehicle already qualifies as a lemon under the Georgia Lemon Law, but I am giving it one more chance it hopes there will be no more transmission issues. Brad Pearson

When we walked in, everyone was decent and informative. We overheard a gentleman could not crank his truck after GM Spence serviced his truck. When our vehicle was ready, our oil level was showing low because they did not reset the oil life, and we had to go back inside to ask for someone to reset the oil life. Honestly, I did not want to touch the wrong thing, and after over a decade working in law enforcement, I learned, "If you didn't see it happen with you eyes, you cant vouch for it happening", and I did not see them change my oil. The same female representative we spoke to when entering, changed her attitude from 'wanting to help', to 'you're a burden'. The same mechanics were not there that have been there with my previous services. My fuel level went from 118 miles to the gallon parked at my house to 57 miles to the gallon when I pulled out of my driveway, after driving 10 miles, it went to 22 miles to the gallon back parked at my home. I haven't gotten and answer on the phone when I called. This last visit was the worse; if possible, we are going to find another dealership that can help us service our vehicle.

I had my car looked at and needed struts, they said they needed to order the part and would call me when the part came in. After 2 weeks waiting for a call back, I never received a call back and called to check in and they had my parts but forgot to call me. I booked my appointment for the morning on Friday, and asked them to let me know how long it would take to see if I needed to drop my car off for the day, as I live 1.5 hours away. They said they would ask Wayne and call me back to let me know. I never received a call back. When I got to my appointment it took 4 hours for them to change my struts. I left and had to call back 15 minutes later, as my car was not aligned because they forgot to align my car. Stacey told me to come in first thing at 8 am on Saturday as there was nothing else on the schedule so I did, I was told it should only take and hour to 1.5 hours. After sitting there for 2.5 hours I was asked to walk next door to Stones because my toddler was getting a little nosey and was told it would be another 3 hours or more. Since I lived 1.5 hours away there wasn’t anything they could do. When we walked outside I seen my car in a parking spot. They never got to it, and never started working on it so I had to drop my car off a week later on Friday, and was told I would have an appointment set, with a discount on an oil change for the inconvenience. When I showed up to drop my car off Thursday evening for Friday I was told I was not put down for an appointment. After driving 73 miles there and 73 miles back 4 times, my car was finally ready, $117.00 later for an oil change, as the alignment was covered under warranty. The service center needs better communication! I should not have to bring my car in 3 times for struts and alignment. A lot of money wasted and time wasted as I had to take off of work also and the amount of gas I had to use after I said from the beginning I did not live close.

Notified them 9/20 and supplied pictures the seal of my sunroof was popped up and needed to be replaced. Made the appointment and dropped off my car 9/24. They called hours later they didn’t have the right seal. When I picked up car they let me know when the correct seal comes in and they’d replace it. Received a text last week 9/30 saying this was a new contact to reach out if I needed anything. Asked when my new seal would be in. That was a week ago and still no response. As of now I feel they forgot and didn’t order it. I have to take off work, drive 25 miles one way and make arrangements for someone to pick me up each time I come. Wish they could get their job straight so it’s not such an issue each time. Had my car 6 months now and I think this was my 4th trip over for them repeatedly fixing things. Never bought a new car that needed to come in so dang much.

Service department needs better communication. I had to drive 75 miles there from my home 75 miles back 6 times just to get struts changed and an alignment they forgot to do. I sat there for 4 hours my first visit. If I knew it would take that long I would’ve dropped my vehicle off the day before. When I asked how long it would take when making an appointment, I was told they would call me back. Never got a call back. They also forgot to align my car. My 2nd visit I returned for the alignment, and sat there for 3 hours for them to never even get to my car. Making me return a 3rd time. When I showed up the 3rd time the guy told me I didn’t have an appointment when I was supposed to.

I’m used to the guys at the service desk giving excellent, professional service. There was a new face this time, and he seemed to be bs-ing me when I asked if the techs checked on something I had asked him to have checked. It sounded like he forgot to ask them and then was bs-ing that he did instead of owning up to forgetting. He also seemed to be on his phone giggling a lot like he was texting or watching something. All in all, it wasn’t the professional experience I’ve grown accustomed to over the years that I’ve serviced my vehicle at Spence.
